He’s a veteran of 2 startups over 8 years — both acquired, one byDoubleClick for 20M and another by Symantec for 40M. Lucas has a deep background in computer security –with a published book on the subject- as well as, privacy, SaaS, and cloud computing. He likes to focus on early stage companies that can leverage the commodity application stack and cloud services to create significant companies in a highly capital efficient manner. Before DJF Gotham, Lucas was a senior manager for product security at Adobe following his time as an investment associate at Union Square Venture Partners. Lucas received his B.S. from Purdue in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. His current focus is on cloud computing, online security, local commerce, and the SMB market. Lucas also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the HealthAssessment Lab/Medical Outcomes Trust (HAL/MOT) and Chair of the Board’s Investment Committee.
