Ms. Benson joined StarVest as Venture Partner in January 2014. Prior to StarVest, Ms. Benson was Managing Director of Highbridge Principals Strategies and primarily focused on ecommerce, digital media and advertising technologies. Prior to joining Highbridge in 2008, Ms. Benson was a Managing Director with Bear Stearns’ Constellation Growth Capital. In the past, she has been a board member at Widevine (sold to Google), Webify (sold to IBM), Siperian (sold to Informatica) and K12 (Public Company on NYSE: LRN), each of which was successfully exited. She also led an investment in Capital IQ which was sold to McGraw-Hill. Previously, Ms. Benson was an investment banker at Patricof & Co. and First Union. Ms. Benson received a BA in Mathematical Economics, summa cum laude, from Colgate University, where she was a Charles A. Dana Scholar. Ms. Benson currently sits on the Boards of Ceros, Transactis, RAMP and Xignite and is actively looking for new transactions.
