Before joining the Executive Board of Loyens & Loeff Gert-Wim van de Meent (1964), attorney at law, headed the Competition & Regulatory practice group and the integrated Healthcare Team of Loyens & Loeff. He specialises in EU law, competition law (merger control, antitrust and state aid), procurement law and healthcare law. He has a focus on regulated sectors such as Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech and Food. Gert-Wim is recognized by his clients and peers which has led to recommendations in leading surveys such as Chambers, Legal 500 (categories Healthcare & life sciences and EU & competition) and Who’s Who Legal (Public Procurement). He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the European Law Association, the Competition Law Association, and board member of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law. Gert-Wim is a professor of European and national procurement law at the University of Amsterdam. He has a great many publications to his credit.
