Prior to joining Balderton Capital, Anna worked with a business angel investing and advising early-stage UK startups. Before moving to London, Anna spent three years in New York, where she worked as data product analyst at YipitData, building operational skills while growing the data team, and as an associate in the investment team at Global Infrastructure Partners, investing in the energy sector. She started her career in telco M&A at Barclays, working on deals across Europe and the USA.
Anna holds two masters degrees in International Business from HEC and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, and a Bachelor in Management from HEC.
James works with Balderton Capital. Prior to joining Balderton, James helped build one of the UK’s first social venture funds, providing support and capital to a portfolio of start-ups with a special focus on the education, healthcare and financial sectors.Before this James worked with entrepreneurs and businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, through a consumer-tech venture fund, the Guardian Media Group and as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. As well as the professional experiences above, James has worked as an adviser to a number of start-ups and social enterprises, and in 2011 as a Specialist Adviser to Parliament. James has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
Rob is a Partner at Balderton Capital. Rob spends the majority of his time finding & evaluating new Balderton investments. He also works with six Balderton portfolio companies: Housetrip, Wooga, Qubit, Archify, Rentify & Touchlocal. Prior to joining Balderton Rob worked for Google in London, as a Manager in their global sales strategy team. Before Google Rob spent five years at Bain & Company, the strategy consultancy. Rob holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MMath from Cambridge
