The unconventional funding conference returns to Berlin May 27 for
Capital On Stage Europe 2014
Switzerland. Zurich, May 14 2014. On Tuesday May 27, the unconventional investment event Capital On Stage will return to the Berlin offices of Hengeler Mueller, where they will host the second annual European conference.
“We’re excited to return to Berlin in 2014. Berlin is only slightly behind London as the largest European city, the ecosystem of tech startups is still only five years young. As such a great city, we know the Berlin event will attract founders and investors form all over Europe this year.” - Arjen Strijker, Founder Capital On Stage.
Kai-Steffen Scholz, partner at Hengeler Mueller in Berlin: “Berlin is increasingly turning into the most important location for startups in Europe. The continuing boom of the start-up scene requires specific advice accommodating dynamic corporate development. We are delighted to host “Capital On Stage” for the second time in a row.”
Highly successful, and held annually in America, Europe and Singapore the conference brings together top-tier investors and tech startup founders but turns the tables; Venture capitalists pitch to selected founders actively seeking funding. Investors are expected to pitch their views on the market, their investments expectations and what additional services they will bring to the table other than cash. Bo Illsoe, partner at Nokia Growth Capital feels “Capital On Stage offers a unique and very efficient forum to connect with high potential entrepreneurs directly. I welcome the opportunity to pitch to them, not vice versa this time.”
The conference also includes the highly regarded Open Office Hour session that allow startup founders to book 10 minute private meetings with two investors of their choice.
Michael Treskow, Accel’s Vice President is ”excited to be part of the open office hour session. Capital On Stage always does a great job attracting and vetting a diverse set of promising entrepreneurs, and I very much look forward to hearing their vision and telling them about Accel.”
Confirmed investors for Europe 2014 so far include: Accel Partners, Nokia Growth Partners, Balderton Capital, Connect Ventures, Hasso Plattner Ventures, Lakestar, Mangrove Capital Partners, DN Capital, e.ventures and Wellington Partners with some returning for their second event. Investors from previous events are world renowned, covering a range of investments.
Partners of the “Capital On Stage” conference are Google, Aldryn and DealMarket.
