Capital On Stage is expanding and currently looking for an ambitious Events Manager to prepare, execute and optimise Capital On Stage events and lead PITCH36 sessions.

About the position
Considering that at the events there are many important guests and high level people, having impeccable executed events is the standard of Capital On Stage. We aim to have high quality events with the most accurate and efficient matchmaker between investors and startups. This is an opportunity to take part in a small, diverse (startups + corporates) and powerful team driving the successful event preparation and execution. The ideal candidate is keen in understanding the global entrepreneurship and investment trends, and is ready to get his/her hands dirty in helping the startups get funded.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Sales and Managing Director Global Events, you will take the leading role in creating world ­class event experience for high level executives from the biggest companies, funding ready founders and top ­tier Venture Capitalists from around the Globe;
  • Creating planning, processes, milestones and workflows for events delivery;
  • Be the voice of Capital On Stage towards our customers;
  • Responsible of different arrangements before and after the events, customer service on the phone and via e­mail with different partners, and taking care of other event related projects;
  • End responsible for our events to run smoothly ­ together with the Event Manager from the venue host and a team of volunteers. Tasks include:
    • Managing the reception – welcoming guests, issuing name tags and ensuring they know where to go
    • Open Office Hour Controller – help investors and founders find their private meetings
    • VC pitch control – ensure investors are in the room and are ready to speak when it is their turn during the pitch sessions
    • Founder Pitch Controller – ensuring the founders doing their 30 second pitch are in the room and ready to pitch when they are called
  • Execute and lead a program to welcome our customers to make sure they get the maximum return out of their investment;
  • Be in the lead for PITCH36, maintain the blueprint and find potential organizers;
  • Evaluating and implementing tools useful in the field of events management;
  • Creating documentation (guides, evaluations) for events.


Requirements

  • University graduate;
  • 2-3 years of experience in events or startup industry;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Genuine interest in organising startup-related events (volunteer experience is a plus);
  • Analytical skills to understand the supply and demand points of the entrepreneurial system; 
  • Strong personal approach and sales skills;
  • Digitally driven and online savvy;
  • Creativity and GTD attitude to act and react quickly due to the changes of the event planning;

About the position
fundsUP B.V. (fundsUP.co) is an A.I. boosted match-making platform that connects founders, investors and enterprises. It's a spin-off of Capital On Stage. The fun and user friendly interface of the fundsUP application matches investors and enterprises with high quality company information that could lead to potential deals. The fundsUP database will be fueled with company profiles through startup event applications. Currently the MVP is ready and we’re launching the first release of the product in the coming months. Next to our online matchmaking platform fundsUP, we run a global funding conference: Capital On Stage. This enables us to continuously interact and iterate with our users face-to-face. Today, startup is a hot topic and anyone can be an investor. As we tackle more and more investor biases via technological solutions, fundsUP became our main product. We now seek a Product Owner to be the single point of contact who communicates all external learnings to our engineers to improve our product.

Responsibilities

  • This role is Internally focused. You will truly own and steer the product - supporting our engineering team and managing the software development details
  • React to the influx of data we receive, working in continuous iterations to measure, learn, build and test across multiple platforms
  • Working with a comprehensive SAAS solution is a never-ending learning experience. Capital On Stage is looking for an ambitious growth hacker, that is ready to ‘lead’ us through the great world of online tools, next big marketing tricks and data sources. Our ambition is to become the number one platform to get “growth stage” startups funded. This year we have planned 10 events in different cities in Europe and the US. For each of these events we need to acquire 150 customers (founders) based on the right audience options, audience selection and ultimately position Capital On Stage events in an enticing way.

Responsibilities

  • Working together with the whole team and specifically with the CMO and Head of Product;
  • Execute online channels, analyze data and optimize results;
  • Manage external agency for PPC (Adwords and Facebook ads);
  • Setting KPIs for external campaigns together with CMO;

About the position
Capital On Stage is looking for an energetic student to assist with the global partnership development. You will work closely with our Head of Partnerships and will be involved in various sales processes. We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive student with excellent internal and external communication skills. The internships is full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum period of 3 months starting from August or September onwards.

Responsibilities

  • Working together with the Head of Partnerships events in Europe and the US;
  • finding and qualifying prospects;

About the position
We like to inspire, inform and advise startups, investors and tech enthusiasts. You will be responsible for creating amazing and relevant content. You have access to all our social media channels, the website(s) and newsletters to share all you bring to life. You will work closely together with the entire company and in specific the Marketers and CMO. You rock our content strategy and make sure everyone knows about your plans. SEO is important, and you totally understand why and how to write SEO proof.
You will be our online point of contact related to all PR and online correspondence. You will actively contribute to the further expansion of the online brand identity of Capital On Stage. This gives you the perfect opportunity to test and elevate your skills.
We offer a huge database of startup founders, investors and corporate innovators. Most of these are willing to share their story through our channels and need you as their interpreter.

Responsibilities

  • Build the perfect (SEO proof) content marketing strategy to create more awareness and engagement online;

Capital On Stage is going offline in an online business, disrupting local scenes in the world’s biggest tech hubs with a new global series of invitation-only funding events in 2017. We're growing quickly and looking for an ambitious and talented full-time Marketing Communications Intern to work with us for a period of 3-12 months at our office in the heart of the Amsterdam startup scene.

Your responsibilities
You'll be working closely with the MD, CMO, Head of production, and our international support staff to do the following:

Co-manage social media:

  • Develop buzz-worthy content for Capital On Stage’s social media accounts;
  • ​Identify industry content worthy of sharing;
  • Write and publish buzz-worthy blog pieces;
  • Engage followers and grow the Capital On Stage community.  


Develop and deliver international marketing campaigns:

  • Support active global marketing campaigns;
  • Create and execute country-based marketing campaigns;
  • Write marketing copy for email campaigns and e-newsletters


Coordinate content and public relations:

  • Draft press releases and write blogs
  • Connect with new journalists and manage existing relationships

About you
We’re looking for an original thinker. Someone outgoing and professional with a passion for the global startup scene. Experience with technology or events is even better. Our working language is English, so fluency (spoken and written) is a must. Knowledge of other world languages a definite plus.
